Who Pays for Hospice Care?
Helping Hands Hospice accepts
reimbursement for care through various sources, including Medicare,
Medicaid, HMOs, most private insurance companies, and through
community support and fund raising efforts. Contributions assist the
agency with providing services to eligible persons regardless of
ability to pay for such services.
Who Can Make a Referral?
Any person may make a referral, for a friend, neighbor, loved one or for self. The Hospice Team,
along with the patient’s attending physician, will determine the
patient’s eligibility for hospice services.
